Mayfield, Ky — James C. Bennett, 87, of Mayfield died Tuesday at his home.
He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and retired after 33 years of service for the Kentucky Highway Department.
Mr. Bennett is survived by two daughters, Debbie Hargrove and Leesa Pierceall, both of Mayfield; a sister, Jean Ann Seavers of Mayfield; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winkie Bennett; a son, Jimbo Bennett; two brothers; and a sister. His parents were Garland and Viera Overby Bennett.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Mike Tucker and Josh Ketchum will officiate. Interment will follow in Bennett Cemetery.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
