CLAUDE McDOWELL
LIBERTY - Claude McDowell, 55, of Liberty was found dead Monday afternoon in his Asheboro apartment. The Randolph County Medical Examiner's office ruled that death occurred from natural causes. McDowell was a flight instructor for Causey's Airport near Liberty.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty. Burial will be in Gilmore Memorial Park, Julian.
Survivors are brothers, James V. McDowell of Maryland, Everett McDowell of Greensboro, William McDowell of Florida, David, Grayson and A. J. McDowell, all of Liberty; sisters, Mrs. Baxter Marsh, Mrs. Odell Cagle and Mrs. Freddie Lineberry, all of Asheboro, and Mrs. O'Kelly Overman of Liberty.
