Mrs. Boeker passed away April 12, 2013, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. She was born April 21, 1929, in Columbus, Oho, to the late Steward E. and Violet (Penn) West.
Charlotte grew up in Columbus, Ohio. Charlotte married Bruce R. Boecker on September 21, 1956. She was a Lab Technician for many years, retiring from the Newark Medical Lab. Charlotte and her husband, Bruce, were active members of the Newark Maennerchor Club for many
years.
She is survived by two children, Rebecca (Steve) Shafer and Jeffery (Susan Iler) Boecker; grandchildren, Matthew Shafer and Maxwell, Eleanor and Sullivan Boecker; sister-in-law, Jo West; nephews, Mike and Chris West; niece, Terri West; aunt, Donna Dewey, and uncles, Robert and Ronald Penn.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce R. Boecker, who passed away on September 21, 1998 and her brother, Robert G. West.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
