Death of Joseph Bowman

Joseph Bowman a well known former citizen of this city and x-sheriff of Lafayette county, died Wednesday at his home and brought to Lexington Friday morning and buried that evening at 4 o'clock.

The deceased was elected sheriff in the fall of 1884, and served two terms, or four years. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. One brother, Frank Bowman, of this city, also survives.

Death of Joseph Bowman
