TWO MEN INJURED AT MYRICK, ONE DIES
Men Were Run Down by Switch Engine. Both Employed with Section Gang
Tuesday morning about 9 o'clock Elmer Smalley and Charles Bowman, two section hands on the Missouri Pacific, suffered serious injuries when they were run down by a switch engine at Myrick. Mr. Smalley had his right hand crushed off above the wrist. Mr. Bowman was less fortunate; he lost an arm and a leg and died on the train on the way to the hospital in Kansas City.
Mr. Bowman was a son of Mrs. Charles Bowman, Sr., who lives on North 11th street. He was born in Saline county, September 10, 1902. The body was brought to Lexington Wednesday night.
