He graduated from Mount Enterprise High School in Texas and attended Kilgore Junior College and Stephen F. Austin University. He served in the Army during World War II as Military Police. Bill was a Life Insurance Underwriter for Republic National Life Insurance for over 30 years, and was a charter member of Northlake Baptist Church, Dallas since 1956 and enjoyed coin collecting and genealogy, and was an amateur radio operator. Bill had a gentle spirit, a kind personality and would go out of his way to help people. He especially loved his family and will be greatly missed by all. Preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Woodrow Hunt. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Maurine Howard Hunt; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri Hunt Nelson and Bob Nelson of Richardson, TX; son, William Green Hunt of Dallas, TX, granddaughter, Valerie Ann Nelson of Richardson, TX and her fiance Jeremy Frank Adell of Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Northlake Baptist Church in Dallas. Private interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Northlake Baptist Church, 10110 McCree Rd., Dallas, Texas 75238.
