Services for Elizabeth Abernathy, 76, South Virginia Street, were here today. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Abernathy died Saturday at Jennie Stuart Hospital after a long illness.
A Christian County native, she was born May 6, 1902, the daughter of T.P. and Elizabeth Steger Johnson. She was a lifetime member of First Christian Church. Her husband, H.H. Abernathy died in 1973.
Survivors include a daughter Ann Abernathy Henry, Annandale, Va., a sister Mrs. Lucian M. Jones, this city and three grandchildren.
