Mrs. Eunice Rice Brown, age 91, of Caldwell, died Friday at the Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past several months.
Mrs. Brown was born January 16, 1922, in West Memphis, and was the daughter of Sierra Nevada Rice and Lula Mae Baldridge Rice. She lived at Fitzgerald Crossing and Caldwell most of her life, was a retired clerk for True Value Hardware in Forrest City, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caldwell.
Mrs. Brown married Buster Brown in 1938, and he preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by one son, Freddie Harold Brown of Colt, two daughters; Mary Patricia Brown Smith of Caldwell and Nancy Carol Brown Herbert of Forrest City, six grandchildren; Sharon, Kelly, Stephen, Mary, Miranda, and Pattie, eight great-grandchildren; Christopher, Lisa, Jessica, Kyle, Sara, Stephen, Bryce, and Ryan.
Services for Mrs. Brown will be held at the First Baptist Church of Caldwell, 5:00 P.M., Sunday with burial in Hughes Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church, beginning 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
