A funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 4, at Crystal Hills Assembly of God Church in rural Paynesville. Burial was in the Paynesville Cemetery.
Steven Dale Boie was born on Nov. 6, 1966, to Dale and Judith (Mills) Boie in Paynesville.
Steve attended Paynesville High School, graduating in 1985. He participated in wrestling and football. He was also on the Paynesville hockey team.
Steve married and had three children: Zachary, Megan, and Cameron.
Steve was employed by Dale Boie Construction before his stroke. Steve suffered a stroke in February 2010 and was living at CAHI in Paynesville.
Steve is survived by his parents; children; siblings, Sandy Fenske and Scott Boie; six nieces; a nephew; five great-nieces; a great-nephew; and various aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt, and five uncles.
