Russell Robert O'Neal
Russell Robert O'Neal, 97, of Crab Orchard, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in a local nursing center.
Born November 7, 1914, in Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late Howard and Daisy Snuffer O'Neal.
Russell was a retired accountant for Carolina Supermarket. He was minister for the Church of the Brethren at Crab Orchard and Oakvale as well as serving as chaplain at Pinecrest Hospital.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel O'Neal and daughter, Karen O'Neal.
He is survived by three nephews, Larry Priddy and wife Janie of Crab Orchard, Don Priddy and wife Vicky of Prosperity and Max Priddy and wife Glenna of Crab Orchard; close family friends, Jim and Sue Campbell and caregivers, Linda Muncy, Joe and Karen Birchfield, Sue Lilly, Delores Lowe and Christy Googe.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Shumate and Pastor Owen Stultz officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Larry, Don, Max and Scott Priddy, Jim Campbell, Joe Birchfield and Mike Westmoreland.
