Pastor Charles William Hood, 69, Lakeview, died at a Klamath Falls hospital, Friday, March 8, 1991. He was born May 16, 1921 at Abingdon, Ill., the son of Clarence Edward and Opal Elizabeth (Garrison) Hood.
In his early education it was his purpose in life to be a minister and pastor in order to help people. He attended Warner Pacific College of Portland. He spent his life in the ministry. He enjoyed books and collecting pens and pencils as a hobby.
Charles married Lola Story, July 25, 1953 at Prineville, Ore. He pastored for 39 years in the Pacific Northwest and was Pastor of the Trinity Southern Baptist Church of Lakeview for the past three years.
He is survived by his wife Lola of Lakeview; a son, Ronald W. Hood of Gallatin, Mo.; three daughters, Lanette G. Dixon of Granger, Wash., Lori A. Gunther of Reno, Nev., and Ardeena M. Benedict of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Clarence E. Hood of Orofino, Idaho; and eight grandchildren.
