Isaac John Fincham, son of William and Mary Ann Cobb Fincham, was born Jan. 7, 1874 in Attleborough, Norfolk, England. He came to America with his parents when he was 3 yrs. old. He had been a resident of Marshall County for the greater part of his life.
On Nov. 18, 1896 he was united in marriage with Abbie McMillan. To this union were born 9 children.
Later in life he had remarried and spent a short time in Greenleaf, KS and Blue Rapids, KS. For the past years he had made his home with his children, the greater part of which has been spent with his daughter and son-in-law in Marysville.
Mr. Fincham passed away at the age of 79, April 18, 1953 in Marysville, KS. Rev. Emory C. Kraft was in charge of the service. Burial was at Propect Hill Cemetery, rural Blue Rapids, KS with Hill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
His wife Abbie, one son, and one daughter preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing 5 sons and 2 daughters; Murray of Frankfort, Ks; Emmett and Perry of Paul and Twin Falls, Idaho; Carroll and Willard of St. Joseph and Graham, MO; Lillie Walstrom of Iraan, TX; and Stella Theis of Marysville, KS; four grandchildren and four great grand children; four sisters and two brothers and a large number of nieces and nephews, and friends.
