Mr & Mrs Charles Witmer, well known residents of Blacklick, died within two days of each other last week. Mrs Witmer who was aged 27 years, was a daughter of Mr and Mrs David Mardis. She spent her entire lifetime in the vicinity of Blacklick. She died on Monday evening of last week with typhoid fever. Her husband, who had been helping to nurse her, contracted influenza and died in a few days. Mr Witmer was a son of H K Witmer and was aged 25 years. He had been a resident of Blacklick for the past five years and was connected with the Witmer Construction Company. The couple leave a two-year-old son. Double funeral services were held in the Blacklick ME church on Friday afternoon and burial was made in one grave in Coral cemetery.

A volunteer was unable to locate the grave in this very small cemetery.
