Elizabeth Davis

WALTON — Elizabeth Palmatier "Betty" Davis died Friday, June 8, 2001, at her home. She was 72.

Mrs. Davis was born Feb. 21, 1929, at Binghamton City Hospital.

She married Harold R. Davis on Feb. 24, 1947, in Sidney, N.Y. Harold predeceased her in July 1996.

Betty is survived by two sons, John (Shirley) Davis of Margaretville and Cecil (Carol) Davis of Bloomville; three daughters, Kathy Davis Levoy of Delaware, Barbara (Daniel) Webster of Laurens, and Jean Davis of Marco Island, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; two aunts; an uncle; and a special friend, Dorothy Smith of Bainbridge.

Betty was a housewife and a farmwife. She also worked as a nurse's aide at Delaware Valley Hospital for many years.

Her family was her pride and joy, and she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Walton Cemetery.
