Cleo (Truckey) Murphy, 88, Racine, formerly of Crivitz and Oconto, died peacefully Tuesday, March 2, 2004. She was born on Aug. 19, 1915, in Ephraim to the late Tuffel and Emma (Lessor) Truckey. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Oconto Memorial Hospital and Albers Convalescent Center, Oconto, for many years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Herman, Racine; Angie (Don) Guns, Crivitz; three sons, Warren (Arlene) Murphy, Little Suamico; Daniel (Judy) Murphy, Alabama; Lee (Kay) Murphy, De Pere; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Vitel (Harriet) Truckey, Peshtigo; Amos (Clara) Truckey, Oconto; Nap Truckey, Oconto; one sister, Marion June Benedum, Oconto; one sister-in-law, Betty Truckey, Stiles; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons Lawrence and Roy; one daughter Joan Murphy; one infant grandson; one granddaughter Debra; four sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stiles from 9-11 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004, at the church with Father Harry Beernstein officiating. Burial at the Abrams-Stiles Catholic Cemetery.
