TRINITY – Services for Judieth Ann Ball, 61, of Trinity were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at the Lone Star Baptist Church in Trinity with the Rev. Adrian Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery in Trinity. She died Wednesday, Sept. 15. Born Jan. 3, 1949, she was the daughter of Lois (Gilford) and Selmus Curtis. She was a graduate of Westside High School and attended Paul Quinn College. After working at various jobs, she returned to school and earned a CNA license and worked as a certified nurse's assistant until her health began to fail. For many years she resided in Houston, but returned to Trinity in 2009. Survivors include her mother, Lois Saldana; three brothers and their spouses, Frank and Valery Saldana, Rodney Curtis, and Raymond and Eula Dozier; a twin sister, Carolyn Howe; two additional sisters and a brother-in-law, Delita and James Jones and Nettie Harris; two aunts and a spouse, Mable Ann Wilson and Autrey Jean and Marshall Williams; four nieces, Ariel, Arianna "Miss Pooh", Nikita and Kanitra; two nephews and their spouses, Karriem and Kara Howe and Bacari and Renee Walker; six great-nieces and great-nephews, Trejan Walker, Karsten Mack Jr., Bria Bush, Karina Terrell, Aleyah Walker and Karionna Howe; her best friend, Yvonne Simms; a number of other relatives; and her family pet, Blade. Pallbearers included Leslie Grooms, Lawrence Jones, Roy Lee Harris, Wayne Wyatt, Morris Wyatt and Otis Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Bacari Walker, Karriem Howe, Raymond Dozier, Rodney Curtis and Frank Saldana. Emanuel Funeral Homes of Trinity directed the arrangements.
