Born Sept. 3, 1915, in Iredell County, she was the first born of Tracy E. and Lola Millsaps Troutman. She was a 1932 graduate of Statesville High School and was married for 53 years to the late Leon Roy Addison who died Jan. 13, 1986.
Mrs. Addison was a co-owner of Addison Trim Shop and Ronnie's Mens Wear, where she worked with her family until her retirement.
She had been a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church and later a member of First Baptist Church of Statesville, where she was a member of the Esther Bible Sunday School Class. She was active in her community, and loved her Lord, her family, her church, and her flower garden.
Surviving family members include a son, Ronald P. Addison and his wife Martha; four grandchildren, Debra Wiggins of Statesville, Jill Addison of Jacksonville, and Cary and Dean Addison of Salt Lake City, Utah; four great grandchildren; one sister, Madeline Taylor of Durham; and special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Troutman; and a sister, Elizabeth Mills.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Iredell Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Jeff Porter officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.
