Barbara Bishop Haskins, 74, of Waco, passed Friday March 2, 2018. Services will be held 10am Thursday Mar. 8 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco with Marshall Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 pm Wed. March 7 at the funeral home.
Barbara was born April 15, 1943 to Homer and Mildred Bishop. She graduated from China Spring High School in 1961 and went on to receive an Associates Degree in Business. She worked as an Interior Designer of kitchens. After retiring, Barbara filled her days enjoying her love of reading, Group Bible studies, pets and spending time with her family.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother, Joe D. Werthen of East Texas; sister, Judy and husband Ronnie Shotwell of Rosenthal, nieces; Kimberly Beekman, Laura Bailey and husband Gary, Julie Switzer and husband Tim, and nephew Craig Morrow as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
Pallbearers will be Tim Switzer, Craig Morrow, Chad Osburn, Trevor Osburn, Dylan Garcia, and Gary Bailey. Honorary bearers will be Ronnie Shotwell and George Merilian.
