Daunte Peterson, was riding in a 1995 Ford Mustang with 2 other passengers an 18-yo and a 21-yo both from Seabeck. The car flipped and went down a ravine, landing on its top in a creek. Daunte was trapped in the car his legs were trapped in the seats, the driver of the car was Daunte's step-brother who attempted to pull him out of car. The car being up side down in a creak bed filled with water.

Sharley Shore, is Daunte's mother and she spoke about her son with love talking about his red hair and how his favorite color is red. She said Daunte's birthday is only 7 days away, and he would have been 15 years old on Thursday the 11th of April.

He was born April 11, 1998 in Forks, WA to Sharley Shore and Shawn Peterson. Daunte grew up in Port Angeles, WA, but 4 years ago moved to Seabeck. Daunte loved to hang out with friends listening to music or quad riding, camping and bonfires with friends. Daunte was known for his beautiful red hair and his mischievous spirit who's life touched the hearts and lives of everyone he knew or met. He is greatly missed by all who knew him.

Daunte is survived by his mother Sharley Shore and stepfather Gene James of Seabeck; father Shawn Peterson of Port Angeles; brothers Corey Peterson, Ryan Peterson, Justin Peterson & Quintin Peterson; stepbrother Steven James; stepsister Makayla James; uncles Adam Koester, Jarrett Shore, Lawrence Brinkley; aunt Amanda Darnell; grandparents Katrinka & Don Harris, Dave & Vicki Koester, Don & Kandy Peterson; great-grandmother Helen Shore; 9 cousins.
