Mary "Marie" (Philpott) Bevans, 96, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush . Born March 11, 1917 in Closter, N.J., she was a twin daughter of the late William and Rose Quinn Philpott. She was the widow of James C. Bevans, who died October 13, 1991. She was a resident of Syracuse for many years as well as Watertown and Gouverneur. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy (Norbert) Hall of Leesburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Marianne (Rick) Chester, Susan (Dick) Viel, Teresa (Michael) Kane, Amy (Paul) Laukaitis, Norbert Hall Jr., Kira (Bill) Hatem, Joe (Kelly) Lynch and Andrew (Solange) Lynch; 20 great-grandchildren, and sisters-in-law, Teresa (John) Arnold and Dunda Bevans. She is predeceased by her daughter, Rosemary Bevans- Lynch; two sisters, and two brothers, Marie has generously donated her body to the Albany Medical College for the purpose of medical education and research. In lieu of flowers, a donation to CNY Autism Speaks, CNY Special Olympics or a charity of your choice in her honor would be appreciated. Date of Death: March 29, 2013
