Kenneth Elman Barrett, 71, of Allegheny Avenue, Templeton, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1992 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Templeton to David Johnson and Mary Blanche (Spicher) Barrett. A retired kiln fireman employed by Harbinson Walker Refracteries with 50 years service, Mr. Barrett was a member of Templeton Church of God. He was a World War II US Army Tech veteran having served as a Coproral. Survivors include his wife, Betty J. (Hull) Barrett; two sons, John "Jack" Barrett of Templeton and Kenneth A. Barrett of Friendship, ME; five grandchildren, Amanda S. and Megan Barrett and John A. and Andrew and Tucker Barrett; three brothers, Leonard Barrett of Templeton, Thomas Barrett of Templeton, RD1 and David Barrett of Thurmont, MD; and four sisters, Idell Bigley, of Freeport, Kathadine Brewer of Leechburg, Yvonne Butler of Templeton and Vivian Ulmer of Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, Wallace, William, Clarence and Lee Barrett and three sisters, Evelyn Brewer, Mona Barrett and an infant sister. Funeral lservices will be held Friday, September 25, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. at Templeton Church of God with the Rev. Ronald Follett, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery.
