Royalty. Daughter of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henri II. She was married to King Alfonso VIII of Castile in 1170. The marriage was very happy and they had 11 children. Four of her daughters will later become queens. They will sit on the thrones of Castile, Portugal and Aragon. The most famous of the sisters is Blanche, she will be queen of France, like her grandmother Eleanor. She was devastated when her husband died and followed him three weeks later.
