Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Mrs. Maria W. Ailes of Emeritus of Orange Park, the beloved widow of Mr. Robert L. Ailes. She was the daughter of Effie O. and Frank Willis, Gainesville, FL.

Surviving her are her daughters, Jacqueline S. Woolington (Kaye), Augusta, GA, and Rebecca D. Morris, Jacksonville, FL. Grandsons, Kaye F. Woolington Jr. (Deborah), Columbia, SC, Andrew Z. Woolington, Augusta, GA, and John D. Woolington (Katherine), Camden, SC. Granddaughters, Jacqueline M. Clinton (Dale) and Aimee R. Wiggins, both Jacksonville, FL. and 13 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ailes was a member of the Baptist Church, American Ballroom Dance Association, and the Jacksonville Ballroom Dance Association. For many years she owned and operated the MARIA DOUGLAS SCHOOL OF BALLROOM DANCE. She studied under many teachers including two visits to Havan, Cuba to study Latin Dance. She danced in exhibitions on television, private clubs and many public dance shows, contributing her time and money to fundraising for many charities. For the past few years she has devoted her time to her large and scattered family.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, 11a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, FL. Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, FL is handling the arrangements.
