He was born in New Bedford, son of the late Archibald R. Spoor, Sr., and Adrienne (Breault) Spoor. He was a resident of Assont and graduated from St. Anthony High School in New Bedford and from the New Bedford Beauty Institute.
For many years, he ran Archie's Parkside Beauty Salon in New Bedford. He worked for the Mentor program for children with special needs and for the past 20 years had run Assonet tax Pro out of his home in Assonet.
His funeral service will be at 9 AM Saturday at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street in Lakeville with a 10 AM mass in St. John Neumann Church in Freetown. A private interment will be held at a later date at Newport Memorial Park in Rhode Island.
