Mrs. Mellener Anthony, of Mamie Joe Lane, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Anthony, a native of Burke County, was a homemaker and a member of Williams Grove Baptist Church.

The family said: "The family of Mellener Anthony wish to acknowledge all acts of kindness, support and love during their hours of bereavement. May God bless each of you."

Survivors include two sons, Clark Anthony and Roosevelt Anthony, both of Waynesboro; five daughters, Rosa M. Boyd, Mary Wimberly, Prudence Anthony, Dorothy Yearby and Callie Strickland, all of Waynesboro; a brother, Archie Shubert, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Beatrice Hardy and Claudia Tyler, both of Midville; and 38 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
