Mr William Edward Bruce, Sr age 58, of Marietta Ga, passed away on November 2,1978 at Kennestone Hospital due to Lung Cancer.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. November 4,1978 at the New Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Grogan officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Survivors at that time include his wife,SARAH INEZ TURNER BRUCE of Marietta, Sons and daughter-in-laws. Mr and Mrs William Edward Bruce, Jr and Linda Bruce of Normandy TN, Mr and Mrs Ronnie and Lois Bruce of Alpharetta. Mr and Mrs Gene and Marylou Bruce of Woodstock. Mr.Paul Bruce of Marietta. Daughters and Son-in-law include Mr and Mrs Larry and Vanessa Hufstetler of Woodstock.SARAH VIRGINIA BRUCE PADGETT of Marietta and Rene Bruce of Marietta. Mr Bruce was preceded in death by his daughter PAULINE BRUCE, Mother, Mary Beavers and Father S.R. Bruce. Several sisters and a brother nieces and nephews also survive. He would have now had 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

My mom and dad were two very amazing people. They worked very hard to raise us eight children. They had two sets of twins, Jenny and Gene and Paul and Pauline the four babies like 12 days being a year apart. I can only imagine the pain and heartaches that we put these two great people through. Looking back, there is no way any of us children could ever repay them for the love and support that they gave us. Our dad was a veteran, he had this huge scar on his neck from when he was in the service he stepped on an active land mind that blew up. We are all very proud of the parents we have. Mom and Dad we send you all of our love.
