He was born on May 13th, 1953 in West Berlin. Garry was the son of the late Edward J. Saunders Sr. and Margaret M. (Riess) Saunders. Garry graduated from Edgewood High School in Winslow Township in 1971. He pursued a short career in radio broadcasting with WCMC of Wildwood for six years before attaining employment with Village Shop Rite in Rio Grande. There, he was a meat cutter for 21 years.
Garry was recently remarried to Joanne (Carangia) Saunders in September 2008.
Garry was preceded in death by his father Edward J. Saunders Sr. in 1985.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret M. Saunders of Berlin, his wife, Joanne Saunders, his daughter, Jennifer Laun, his son, SGT Nicholas Saunders, and his grandchildren Joshua and Haley. Garry is also survived by his two brothers Edward Saunders Jr. and Brian Saunders.
Garry will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, July 13th at 12:00pm at Tabernacle Methodist Church in Erma.
