Emma Elizabeth Anderson passed away at Shelbyville Memorial Hospital at 12:45 P.M., Oct 11, 1972. She was born near Sims, Illinois on August 9, 1893, the daughter of Henry J. and Jane Bailey, and resided in Wayne County until after her marriage. On March 8, 1911 she was united in marriage to Thomas Robert Anderson of Wayne City, Illinois and to this union was born seven children.

Mrs. Anderson lived in Shelbyville most of her adult life. Her husband, Tom "Singer" Anderson, a son Jerome "Sam" Anderson, and an infant daughter, Pauline, preceded her in death. Surviving are a brother, Charles E. Bailey of Wayne City, Illinois and five daughters, Wilma Friese, Atlanta, Georgia; Darlene Lively, Shelbyville; and Dorothy Howe, Patricia Kensil and Roxy Manning of Springfield, Illinois; also sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 14 at the Lockhart Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 P.M. on Friday.
