Robert Warren Lynch was born on April 15, 1930, in Batavia, Iowa, the son of M.L. and Leta (Harreld) Lynch. He married Christine Shaw on November 2, 1963, in Davenport. She preceded him in death. Robert worked as an Artillery Repairman at the Rock Island Arsenal for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.
He was a member of the Mohassan Grotto, Davenport, he was past president of the Mohassan Grotto Drum & Bugle Corps, and he was a member of the Grand Lodge of Iowa A.F & A.M., and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE).
Survivors include his nephews, Kevin (Stephani) Lynch, of Lexington, Ky., and Terry Lynch, of Lexington, Ky.; nieces, Nicki (Wayne) Carmello-Harper, of Lincoln, Ala., Susan (Jim) Ceyte, of Birmingham, Ala., Chris (Buck) Shows, of Birmingham, Ala., Toni (Rex) Watwood, of Birmingham, Ala., and Sherry (Ron) Cooper, of Somerset, Ky.; and sister-in-law, Joyce Rosenboom, of Lexington, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Christine, a daughter, Tina Lynch, brother, Keith H. Lynch, and sister, Ruth Carmello.
