Mrs. Carolyn Kite Foreman, 60, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 26, 2013, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for the past two years.

A daughter of the late Alvin C. and Florence Meyerhoeffer Kite, she was born on March 5, 1953, in Elkton.

She attended Rockingham County schools and Denard's Beauty School, where she worked for a number of years and was a hair stylist at other shops. Mrs. Foreman was a member of the East Point United Methodist Church, and in her earlier years, taught vacation Bible school, helped with Christmas plays and various other activities. She enjoyed traveling and loved the ocean and Scottish terriers and her dog, "Scottie."

On April 14, 1990, she married Frank D. Foreman, who survives her.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sisters, Peggy K. Armentrout and husband, Dennis, of Penn Laird, and Gloria K. Good of Shenandoah; her five brothers, William Meyerhoeffer and wife, Shirley, of Dayton, Dennis Kite and wife, Judy, Timmy Kite and wife, Teresa, and Nolan Kite and wife, Lavelle, all of Elkton, and Kenny Kite and wife, Crystal, of Stanley; two grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews, P.J., Aaron, Samantha, Robbie, Wesley, Megan, Ryan, Justin, Kayleigh and Stacy. She also leaves a brother-in-law, J. Michael Foreman and wife, Deborrah, of Palmyra, Va.; nieces and nephew, James, Emily and Kimberly; and great-nieces and nephews, Madison, Reed, Heath, Sydney, Sophie and Tate. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Marty Wayne Good, whom she dearly loved.

A graveside service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, March 30, 2013, in the East Point Cemetery. The Rev. Carrie Talbott and Harold Smith, Lay Leader, will conduct the service. Her casket will be closed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the East Point United Methodist Church, 6288 Runkles Gap Road, Elkton, VA 22827.
