Oneta Hayes Langston, 85, of Lamesa, died on Thursday, March 30, 2006, in a Brownfield nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, Big Spring with Dr. Nathan McBride, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lamesa, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring.

She was born on May 10, 1920, in Rotan, Texas and married O. G. Langston on February 20, 1937 in Stanton, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1991.

Mrs. Langston had live in the Brown Community for 50 years before moving to Lamesa in 1987.

She was a homemaker.

She was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Lamesa and was a former longtime member of Lenorah Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Lee Roman of Tarzan and Glenda and Manuel Gonzales of Arlington; four grandchildren, Lori Dombrowski and husband, Mark of Lemitar, New Mexico, Chris Roman of Big Spring and Amanda Gonzales and Stacie Gonzales both of Arlington.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

The family suggests memorials be made to Gideons International, Big Spring Camp #U42060, P.O. Box 133, Big Spring, Texas 79721-0133.
