Luenda Burke, 76, of Long Fork of Virgie, died Monday, June 7, 1999, at Pikeville
Methodist Hospital. She was born July 4, 1922, a daughter of the late Ballard and Lina
Elswick Little. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Burke. She is survived
by two sisters, Allowean Little of Ashcamp and Irene Little of Long Fork of Virgie;
and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10,
at the Long Fork Regular Baptist Church with Dewey Roberts, James Tackett, Monroe
Jones and Wendell Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Amil Little
Cemetery, Long Fork. Arrangements are under direction of R.S. Jones & Son Funeral
