Mrs. Marian Hoppin, formerly of Waverly, died Thursday morning, May 27, at 4:30, at the home of her son, Charles Hoppin, in Virginia, following an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Hoppin was born near Waverly November 25, 1862, the daughter of Frederick H. and Jane A. Curtiss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Hoppin, in 1934, and one son, Fred C., in 1936.
Surviving are one son, Charles T., of Virginia; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Harney of Champaign, Mrs. Carolyn Wood of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mrs. Florence Stirman of Springfield; two brothers, William B. Curtiss of Nameoki, and Frank H. Curtiss of Waverly; and one sister, Miss Louise Curtiss, of Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church in Virginia Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock (C.S.T.). Burial will be in East cemetery, Waverly.
