James Crawford, 71, for many years sexton of the Meridian Cemetery, died Monday in Colusa Memorial Hospital.
a native of Scotland, he came to the United States in 1912, living for a short time in Grimes and then moving to Meridian. He had since last fall lived in Colusa.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Hodgson and Mrs. Eugene Peck, both of Colusa, and Mrs. Everett Hargrave and Mrs. William Walker, both of Arcata; a son, Harry Crawford of Meridian; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. in McNary Chapel, Colusa, with Rev. James Etheredge of the Colusa Trinity Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in the Meridian Cemetery.
