Louisa Bell Brown was born four miles south of Waverly, June 15, 1867. She was married to John Hoover in 1885, and to his union were born two children, Percy, residing in Terre Haute, Indiana, and Reily, at home.
On November 29, 1902, she married John F Adcock and to them four daughters were born: Mrs. John Knight, Maude, Fannie and Eunice Adcock.
She passed away from this life Saturday, July 1, 1922, at the age of 55 years and 17 days. Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her death one sister, Mrs. Charles Gerard of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends. She was a faithful, loving wife, and no one ever had a better mother than did her children.
She became a Christian when but a child, and always remained faithful to her Master.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Waverly Monday, July 3rd, at 2 o'clock p.m., in charge of the pastor, Rev. J. N. Thomas. Interment was in East cemetery.
