Robert was one of 9 children born to George Edgar Brown and Rebecca Agnes (nee Payne) Brown. Five of his siblings died in infancy. Their names are unknown to me. One brother, George was born in 1874, but died before the 1880 census. Another brother, Horace, was born in 1890, but died in 1892. A sister, Ethel, was born in 1884. She lived until 1949.

Robert served in the US Army in WW1. Upon his discharge, he met and married Eula Mary Packard. They had one son, Robert Lyle Brown, born in 1920. Their marriage ended in divorce.

Robert married a second time to Luella Mae Russon on July 9, 1926. They had one daughter and two sons. Their children grew to become parents themselves and produced many grandchildren that were greatly treasured.

Robert and Luella loved to travel. They loved bird watching and could identify many different species. They had the same enthusiasm for flowers and sea shells. Robert was a very talented artist and worked as a commercial artist.

They retired in Florida and enjoyed many years there before
Robert developed prostate cancer which took his life at age 68.
