Funeral services for Wilburn
Alexander Askew Jr., 64, of 207 Celia
Dr., East Dublin; will be held Tuesday
at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Townsend
Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev.
Ronnie Powell will officiate. Burial will
be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Askew died suddenly Sunday at
his residence. A native of LaFayette,
Ala., he was the son of the late Kate
Williams and Wilburn Alexander
Askew Sr. He was a member of the East
Dublin Baptist Church, a veteran of
World War II, a retired supervisor for
the State Fire Marshall's office and a
former member of the Dublin Fire Department.
The body will lie in state at Townsend
Brothers Funeral Home until the funeral
hour.
The-family will receive friends from
7:30-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
