Texa Caroline Kiger, 84, of Mt. Morris, died at 9 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, in her home.

She was born Saturday, March 10, 1928, in Kirby, a daughter of the late George W. Myers and Anna Ritchey Myers.

Mrs. Kiger was a member of Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God.

She enjoyed sending cards and doing word puzzles. Mrs. Kiger also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Kiger worked for several years as a clerk in Bells Market, Mt. Morris, and she was a homemaker.

Her husband, Charles E. Kiger, whom she married April 19, 1947, died January 4, 1994.

Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Sharon S. (Bill) Bennett, Darlene K. (Gary) Wade and Marsha A.(David) McIntire, all of Mt. Morris; two sons and their wives, Larry G. (Patricia) Kiger of Mt. Morris and Allen N.(Doris) Kiger of Madison, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three sisters, Anna Mae Kennedy, Sadie Mc-Cormick and Ruth Myers, and a brother, Charles Myers.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349. There will be additional visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, August 20, in Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God with the Rev. Fred Tomlinson, the Rev.
