CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Charolette L. Brooks, 68, of Chaffee passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 22, 1945, at Burfordville to the late Hobert and Legia Crader Eakins.

Charolotte married Lee Brooks on June 23, 1984. He survives.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Chaffee. She worked as a machine operator for Lenco in Jackson and retired as a machine operator from Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Robert (Kim) Stovall of Arnold, Mo.; a daughter, Gale (Royce) Ruddick of Alvord, Texas; a son, Kerry (Jane) Brooks of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a daughter, Becky (Joe) Edwards of Selmer, Tenn.; a brother, Carl Eakins of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Carol (Dan) Kern of Seymour, Mo., and Cathy Eakins of Cape Girardeau; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the chapel. with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
