Bob was born on July 13, 1930 in Oxford, Kansas to Raymond and Minnie (Jackson) Rowe. He was the oldest of 11 children. He graduated high school and joined the Air Force and spent the next thirty years in the Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. He married the love of his life, Annie L. Rowe, on May 10, 1952 in Ashiya, Japan. They moved around the world together and had five children. After moving to many different places, they were transferred to Tinker Air Force Base and have lived in Norman since 1972. He served our country in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Mr. Rowe loved to go fishing. He had a knack for metal detecting. He loved to garden and especially grow tomatoes. He was a Master Mason. He was a KCCH Scottish Rite Mason. He was a past Master of the Tecumseh Lodge 69. Longtime member of Hilltop Baptist Church. Mr. Rowe loved to volunteer and to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Annie L. Rowe; a daughter, Patricia Alice Rowe; granddaughter, Lyndse Nicole Rakestraw; three sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his son, Robert L. Rowe and his wife Shin; daughter, Lori A. Smith and her husband David; son, Richard A. Rowe and his wife Connie; daughter Donna K. Rakestraw and her husband Dan; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.
