Her obituary stated that "(h)er life was one of service and her good nature and willingness to do for others won her the devotion of all her relatives."
Died the same day as her brother-in-law John Franklin Wood; their funerals were held jointly at Corvallis Methodist Church on 29 August 1923, Reverends T.B. Reagan, E.P. Wilso, and S.E. Powell officiating, music provided by Mrs. J. Marti and Mrs. H.E. Elliott.
