Clifton Mac Anastas was born on Aug. 13, 1920, and went to meet his Lord on March 22, 2013. His parents were Oppie A. and Della W. Anastas.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Lynn Anastas. He is survived by two sons, Gaston Eugene and wife Patty Anastas, and Clifton Roy Anastas; sister Emma O. Beyer; grandchildren Tyra Carter, Gaston Eugene Anastsa Jr. and Lyndra Ann "Tink" Anastas; great-grandchildren Anthony and Chrissy Carter and Brianna Anastas; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Clifton spent all his life as a resident of Mineral Wells. He worked in Civil Service during war time where he learned his electrical skills. He owned his own business, Anastas Electric Co. He also worked with the State of Texas as a consultant for traffic light systems. He enjoyed city government and once ran for city office.

Cliff had many hobbies, three of which are: hunting, he was an avid NRA member often competing at the rifle range; fishing with many fine catches brought home for fish fries, and these gatherings were always a high point for Cliff having hosted them at his own home; and the last but not least of his hobbies was his garden. He shared his bountiful yields with family and friends.

Cliff was a longtime, highly respected member of the 11th Ave. Church. He never missed a Sunday until his health prevented his presence. He really enjoyed the piano music presented by Kathryn Lively. He was a 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge #611 in Mineral Wells.
