PEORIA - Jane L. Adams , 72, of Peoria died at 1:09 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Born July 18, 1927, in Appleton, Wis., to Roy James and Elsie Byers McCammon, she married Zeke W. Adams on June 6, 1965, in Peoria. He died in 1987 in Peoria.

One brother also preceded her in death.

--Surviving are Don Frakes Sr., with whom she made her home; one stepdaughter, Margaret (and Peter) Ward of Melbourne, Australia; one brother, Downe McCammon of Muncie, Ind.; one sister, Helen Shepard of Terre Haute, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a clerk at Szolds Department Store and a bartender at the Garden Gate.

She was a member of AMVETS Post 64 Auxiliary.

She was a volunteer at the Neighborhood House.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association or OSF Hospice.
