Jerry Donald Cooper, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away on March 21, 2013 at the age of 76. Jerry had roots deeply planted in Fayette County, having been born and raised here, and he never left. Jerry was a loyal and dedicated employee of Delta Airlines, retiring as a Project Manager within the Aircraft Maintenance Division with 35 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with friends over breakfast at Chick-fil-a and playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Cooper; and his identical twin brother, James R. "Jimmy" Cooper
Jerry is survived by his special friend and companion, JoAnn Wilson of Fayetteville; daughters, Laura Cooper (Jim) Crenshaw of Raleigh, North Carolina, Cathy Cooper Neal of Atlanta; grandchildren, Cooper Crenshaw, Joshua Crenshaw, Zachary Hartman; brother, Homer (Aleta) Cooper of Fayetteville; sister, Carolyn (Hoyt) Pye of Cartersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service held on Sunday, March 24 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
