Elisa Antonelli, 89, a native of Italy who came to the U.S. in 1907, died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital.
She lived at 1415 Checola Court and formerly resided on Capitola Road. She was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be Friday at 8:45 a.m. from White's Mortuary, 138 Walnut Avenue, to Holy Cross Church for a requiem low mass at 9. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in White's chapel.
She is survived by five sons, Oreste, John, Allie, Pat and Peter Antonelli, all of Santa Cruz; a daughter, Mrs. Corinne Mersaroli of Santa Cruz; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
