BELMONT ~ Carlyle Ellington Chapman, 86, of 2042 South Point Road, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Pineville Rehabilitation and Living Center. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late John F. & Gussie Hoffman Ellington.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Friday, First Baptist Church
INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery
VISITATION: 6:30-8 p.m. tonight, McLean Funeral Directors, Belmont
She worked with Belmont Hosiery for over 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Belmont, where she was a member of The Joy Singers.
SURVIVORS: Her son and daughter in law, Dan and Gina Chapman of Greensboro; grandchildren, Chris & wife Rebecca Olliff, Jeffrey Chapman and Liza Chapman; sister, Nettie Leatherman of Belmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade S. Chapman, her daughter, Nancy Olliff, her grandson, Steven Olliff, sister, Mena Slagle; brothers, Irvin, Sr., Frank Sr. and Clarence Ellington.
