Lewis E. Cullifer, Retired Foreman for Wabash, Dies
Lewis E. Cullifer, 81, retiree Wabash section foreman, died at 3 o'clock this morning in Wabash Hospital following a critical illness of two weeks.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, A. D. Cullifer, Moberly, and Fred L. Cullifer, St Paul; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Watson, St. Louis; three stepsons. Stephen Vroman, Louisiana, Mo., Orlando Vroman, Decatur, and Ernest Vroman, Fayette; a brother, Will Cullifer, Paris; and a sister, Mrs. Celie Perkins, Kansas City.
Mr. Cullifer was born in Illinois and came to Moberly in 1906. He retired about 12 ago. He was a member of Christian church. The Cullifer home is at 320 Wisdom street.
The body is in the Mahan Funeral Parlors, where services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by L. R. Schuler, minister of First Christian church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Paris.
