He was born July 11, 1932, in Davenport, to John and Lucille Shanley Miclot.
Survivors include his wife, Kay; daughters, Mari and Kay Pauszek, both of Davenport, and Nancy Quinn, Naperville, Ill.; sons, Andrew, Warsaw, Ind., James, Washington, D.C., and John, Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; his mother, Davenport; and sisters, Mary Joanne Bell and Suzanne Epping, Davenport, and Sally Ann Packard, Minneapolis, Minn. He was preceded by his father in 1988.
