NEW YORK - Charlie Rich, 57, died at home Sunday after a short illness.

The Bulloch County native lived in Springfield Gardens, N.Y. for 25 years.

Surviving are five daughters, Misses Margaret and Betty S. Rich, both of Springfield Gardens, Miss Annette Rich of Omaha, Neb., Miss Barbara Rich of West Germany, and Miss Evelyn Rich of Baltimore; two sons, Charles and Eddie Rich, both of Springfield Gardens; his mother, Mrs. Louise Rich of Statesboro; six sisters, Mrs. Morine Russell of Camden, N.J., Mrs. Lucille Carter and Mrs. Emma Lou Rison, both of a Jamaica, N.Y., Mrs. Hattie Mae Love, Mrs. Pinkie B. Mikell and Mrs. Ferlisher Moore, all of Statesboro; seven brothers, Rev. Marvin Rich of Elmhurst, N.Y., Joseph, Carl and Jake Rich, all of Jamaica, N.Y., Jerry and Jessie Rich, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Willie Rich of Boca Raton, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral: 6:30 p.m. today at Foster Phillips Funeral Home, burial: 10:30 a.m. Friday in Springfield Gardens, N.Y.
