WILLIAM "BILL" GUYETT
William "Bill" Guyett of Randsburg died of cancer at his sister's home in Fresno on February 26. He was 66.
Mr. Guyett was born on March 7, 1934 in Emmet, Kansas. He moved from Fresno to Randsburg in 1981. He was a gold miner and carpenter by trade.
Mr. Guyett served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 until 1956.
His family says this about him "He was a devout Catholic with an endless devotion to our Lord and Blessed Mother Mary."
Mr. Guyett is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Maurice Holly of Fresno; sister, Joanne Yon of Hacienda Heights; sister and brother-in-law Pat and Joe Bishop of Fresno; sister-in-law Olga Guyett of LRandsburg; niece, Bernadette Hyles of Ridgecrest and many more nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John Guyett of Reedley; mother, Mary Guyett of Fresno, and 3 brothers Joseph Guyett of Reedley, Kenneth Guyett of Turlock and Ray Guyett of Randsburg.
A Rosary and funeral service were held at St. Anthony of Padua's Guadalupe Chapel in Fresno. Monsignor Peterson officiated. Burial was at St. Peter's Cemetery in Fresno.
A memorial service will be held at the Santa Barbara Mission in Randsburg on Thursday, March 22, at 11 a.m. Rev. Robert E. Gamel of St. Ann's Catholic Church will be officiating.
